Is it me, or is summer just flying by? This was our first trip to the beach this year.
The kids really enjoyed themselves. It was windy so the waves were decent sized. I love that. Jumping waves is the best! Bethany did great in the water. She even said…”Mom, this is the best beach day ever!”

Ben wasn’t into the waves as much. He was squealing happily at first, but once a wave crashed in his face, it was all over. He spent his time playing in the “dirty sand.” He was one happy little boy!

Daddy had enough, time for a nap…

Aw, my cute kids! Beth is feeding Ben some Cheetos.

And some more cute ones…

BETHANY SWAM UNDER WATER FOR THE 1ST TIME EVER TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mom and Dad are sooooooooo proud of her!!!
Of course, I didn’t get a picture of it, but I did get some great shots from our swim tonight.
Look at that jump! WOO HOO BETH!

And then the splash…

Bethany doing the back float…

My sweet Benny

This is Benny’s favorite game. He’s sitting on a boogie board and Daddy “drives” him around. Look at that smile!

And then they go REALLY high!

Thanks for taking a swim with us!

Our friend Jen gave us some tickets to a Bison’s Game. The weather was looking pretty bleak, but we called the field and the game was still on. So off we went! We parked at UB and took the subway down. The kids thought that was the coolest thing ever.
Anyway, once we got the the park, it was bright and sunny but the game was still delayed due to a large amount of free standing water in the outfield. But eventually, they started to take off the tarp. Good sign, right?

Apparently this doesn’t always mean they will still play the game. So we waited …

And waited…

And waited some more…

Until finally the game was cancelled. Yeah, I guess there was just too much water on the field. The good news is, we can trade in the tickets for another game.
All and all, it was fun! Hopefully next time we’ll get to see some real ball playin’!

Grammy and Cousin Julianna!

This was taken at the 4th of July party (obviously!) at Grammy and Grandpa B’s church. They sure do look sweet together!
Grammy and Grandpa B…

And don’t forget…BABES! I just love her. Watch out Babes, Ben can’t wait to come and play with you!

Thanks for looking!

Our camping trip to Jellystone!

What a great place! We had such a good time. Kris and the kids went up on Wednesday. Unfortunately, I had to stay behind that day due to a BLAZING swimmer’s ear infection. No more handstands in the pool for me! Anyway, I made it up on Thursday and I’m so glad I did.
Here’s our cabin…

As cabins go, this was the Cadillac version…sorry Allegheny! And let’s just say, we weren’t roughing it. There were 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other had four bunks. The kids TOTALLY loved that. I think this particular cabin was either brand new or only a few months old. It also had a kitchen, full bath and a small sitting area. The coolest part? Above the covered porch was a little loft. It was just big enough for the kids to play in and call their “club house.” Kris put the tv up there and they were in heaven! Here’s some pics…

Here’s my sweet girl. Doesn’t she look so grown up?

My poor guy(s). Ben was soooooooo tired. This was after mini-golf. He just couldn’t walk anymore. Don’t my guys look so sweet?

And of course, FIRE pics! Kris and I discovered we have a new love for potatoes on the fire. We left a potato on the coals for a few hours (yes hours!) and it was DEEEEE-LICIOUS! It was so done that it tasted like a mashed potato. YUM! Totally have to do that again.

Ok, Beth asked me to post this picture. She can’t stop giggling about it. She took this picture…of the dark. Yes, we were outside and she wanted to take a picture of the darkness. So here it is!

It’s a masterpiece I tell you! I’m pretty sure she meant to take a picture of the fire and the flash didn’t go off.
There was a little pond right by our cabin. At night these frogs started croaking! It was the funniest thing. They sounded like someone was flinging rubberbands!!! It was so weird. We’ll have to ask Gramma what kind of frogs those were. And so, Dad and the kids had to see if they could find any in the daylight.

Whew! I think that’s it! We had a BLAST and I hope we go back again next year.
